Additive Manufacturing of Tablets
For the workshop participants from various corporate divisions and countries, TRENDONE researched cross-industry 3D printing trends and innovative approaches for process and product innovations. Participants were inspired by trends presented in a curated gallery walk. Thanks to the 'What If' methodology used, participants developed a strong understanding of the innovative micro-trends and were able to adapt them for Merck in a short time.
TRENDONE provided inspiring input throughout the entire ideation process. The goal was to identify the opportunities of the novel Additive Manufacturing (AM) technology for Merck and to further support its open innovation culture. The result was an innovation project led by Christoph Hüls, which focused on developing a 3D printing solution that significantly simplifies tablet production and leads to cost and time savings during clinical development.
