What types of Trendradars can I create?
Trendradars can be designed in very diverse ways, from general to extremely detailed. They can map a large number of trends or focus on just a few selected trends. Before you create a Trendradar, it is therefore important to decide how detailed it should be, both in terms of the scope of information and the thematic focus. This means: you can, for example, create a rather general radar on a broad topic such as sustainability, or a very specific radar that deals only with a clearly defined area such as reusable packaging materials.
Depending on the objective, different radar types can be created. Strategic radars provide orientation on major future topics such as digitalization, sustainability, or mobility. Department- or area-specific radars bundle trends that are relevant for marketing, production, HR, or research & development. Those who want to dive deeper can create topic-specific radars, for example on artificial intelligence, New Work, or reusable packaging. In addition, project- or client-specific radars are suitable for trend monitoring in innovation projects or for preparing workshops and client presentations.
In this way, Trendradars can be used both as a strategic tool for the overall picture and as a precise instrument for specific questions.
