Future Personas
With Future Personas you make the future tangible. You develop fictional but plausible target groups or users that show, by example, how needs and living or working environments change through trends.
Approach
- Collect future scenarios: Analyze current trends and derive from them what the life or work of certain target groups could look like in a few years.
- Develop a Future Persona: Give your Future Persona a name, age, living environment, and a short story. Which challenges, wishes, values, and routines shape their daily life? Which (new) touchpoints exist with your product or service?
- Integrate trends: Assign each persona relevant key trends. Consider how these trends change the motivation, expectations, or behavior of your persona.
- Use and application: Use the Future Personas to evaluate Innovation Fields and ideas from a user perspective, or to design new offerings precisely.
- Tip: Visualize your Future Persona (e.g. as a poster or profile sheet) and hold regular „future checks“ to keep developments in view.
