What are Innovation Fields?
Innovation Fields are thematic areas in which a company deliberately develops and tests new ideas. You can think of them as priorities or search fields that show the direction in which a company wants to move in the future. The basis for these Innovation Fields is the insights from the Trendradar. Added to this are the company’s existing strengths and resources, as well as the long-term strategy that all future steps are oriented toward.

The Innovation Fields defined this way are displayed visibly and understandably for all employees in the Trendmanager. There they are additionally linked with different types of trends: Mega and Macro Trends illustrate the big connections and developments, while Micro Trends show, as concrete practical examples, how others have already implemented comparable innovations. This makes the Innovation Fields more tangible and opens up vivid possibilities for how an abstract trend can be translated into a concrete idea.

In addition, you can share the Innovation Fields, just like your Innovation Projects, outside the Trendmanager via a Public Link. This link is located at the top right of the respective overview pages and makes it possible to publish content, for example in SharePoint or the intranet. This way, the insights can easily be communicated company-wide, including to employees who do not work directly in the Trendmanager.
It is particularly important that Innovation Fields create transparency. They make visible to everyone in the company in which direction the company is moving and how the future orientation should develop. At the same time, they reveal new potential that may not have been in focus before. For employees they provide a valuable source of inspiration from which initial ideas and innovation initiatives can emerge. This way, trends become tangible opportunities that lead the company into the future step by step.
