For the agency Cheil we analysed the most important trends of the retail industry and evaluated them according to their relevance for a specific customer project. In addition, a picture of the future of the retail industry of 2025 was worked out together with Cheil. The main focus of the project has been:
"How does the requirements of shoppers look like in future?"
First we had a research phase to find relevant micro-trends. With the help of these trends we defined macro-trends that will move the industry in the future. In a one-day workshop, the trends were compared with the research results of Cheil and we evaluated them together and built a retail trend universe.
In a second step, the picture of the future of the retail industry has been developed in one-day workshop. A summary of the initial situation was created to reflect the current market. Then the previously researched relevant market, technology and industry trends, important for the point of sale, were presented.
As a result, a picture of the future had been created that helped to define recommendations and marketing and promotional activities for Cheil's clients. It was also used as a source of inspiration.
