A leading banking group from Switzerland would like to find out what opportunities are available to it in the field of renewable energies. What new business models can be set up here? Together with representatives from various industry sectors (bank managers, product developers, IT, etc.), TRENDONE is asked to develop concrete and realistic ideas for innovative business models. The framework for this comes in the form of two day-long workshops held two weeks apart from each other.
The first workshop day focuses on relevant trends from the field of renewable energies. Based on a TRENDONE keynote, the workshop participants develop some initial ideas and integrate the banking group’s existing projects into the discussion.
A methodically managed idea clustering session is used to enable the participants to identify the innovation fields where the banking group will be able to work successfully and profitably in future.
On the second workshop day, TRENDONE uses the results attained so far to present the best practice business models from the identified innovation fields as a source of inspiration. Afterwards, the participants set up three business models and bring them to life with their first application scenarios.
To round the day off, the participants evaluate and prioritise the developed business models. The most highly prioritised business model is now elaborated and consolidated in a joint prototyping camp.
