CEO & Founder

Nils Müller is the founder and CEO of TRENDONE GmbH. He began his professional career at the IBM Innovation Center after completing an MBA in Berlin, New York and Milan. He founded TRENDONE in 2002. TRENDONE is Europe's market leader in the analysis of micro-trends and key technologies in fast-moving business sectors.

Nils is an experieced speaker who fascinates audiences at many international events with his enthralling style of presentation. He is famous for his "Time Travel 2030" where he travels with the audience right into the future.

Christoph M. Kadereit

Managing Director

Christoph Kadereit is a shareholder and managing director with a focus on finance and strategy. He brings with him many years of experience in the advertising industry and product manufacturing sector. He worked for many years in South- and Northamerica, as well as in England and France.

Christoph was 7 years the President of the German business and commerce organization 'Die Familienunternehmer - ASU' in Hamburg, and is today still an active member of the Executive Board.

Sebastian Metzner

Chief Strategy Officer

As Chief Strategy Officer, Sebastian Metzner devotes his time to exploring the significance of innovation for companies. He is convinced that companies should not try to outdo each other in a contest for ever more innovative products or services. Instead, the search for an effective measure should be at the heart of a company’s ability to innovate. When working with customers, his main concern is to realistically weigh up the opportunities and risks, and bravely translate them into real added value.

A graduate in Economics and Sports Sciences, he is responsible for the strategic further development of TRENDONE. In the dialogue between the company and divisional levels, he moderates all the strategic planning and implementation processes. Managing transformation projects both for customers and internally makes two previously separate worlds grow together. After all, innovations always arise at the interfaces and overlaps, as Sebastian Metzner knows full well.

Marilena Abt

Head of Center of Excellence Consulting

Marilena Abt is an integral part of the Innovation Services team in Hamburg since November 2014.

Before that, she worked for several years in marketing and business development in an international consumer products company in Switzerland. As a project manager, she was responsible for the implementation of strategic projects and the development of innovation management.

While studying in Zurich she could pursue her passion for trend research: The course of Style & Design at the Zurich University of the Arts focuses specifically on the research and analysis of future worlds and social trends to derive innovative concepts and stringent scenarios for the future.

Torsten Rehder

Trend Supervisor

Torsten Rehder is Trend Supervisor at TRENDONE.. He is the publisher and author of “Trendbook 2010”, “Trendbook 2012”, the "Trendbook 2015" as well as the "Survival Guide for Innovators". Torsten also works as a lecturer for Trend Research at the Macromedia University for Media and Communication in Hamburg as well as at the Steinbeis-SMI in Berlin.

Torsten Rehder is fascinated by the dynamics involved in trend research. He is an expert at identifying the metalevels of trends and is a highly convincing speaker, focusing his presentations and workshops on knowledge transfer. In his typically hanseatic style, he responds to the questions of participants with well-grounded specialist knowledge. 

Camille Zimmermann

Director TRENDONE Switzerland

Camille Zimmermann has been an established member of TRENDONE since October 2016. As a Swiss citizen, his responsibility since 2017 is to develop the TRENDONE office in Switzerland. Thanks to his professional activities over the past few years, he brings the company his wide-ranging expertise in the fields of marketing and communication. As a keynote speaker, his subjects include digital transformation, artificial intelligence and immersive experience.

Besides his work for TRENDONE, Camille attends the University of Applied Sciences in Zurich and is studying for a Master of Advanced Studies in Business Innovation.

Sebastian Raßmann

Head of Center of Excellence Inspiration

Sebastian Raßmann coaches agencies and companies from various branches and cooperates closely with them to improve their future business. Since 2009 he is an inherent part of the Business Development of TRENDONE.

Furthermore Sebastian leads kick off presentations and is an important mediator between the clients and TRENDONE.

As a speaker Sebastian Raßmann gained a lot of experience on stage. His key issues in his presentations are Outernet, Technologies and Marketing

Alexandra Grohmann

Head of Business Development · Innovation Services

With passion for the world of tomorrow Alexandra coaches agencies and companies from various branches and cooperates closely alongside them to improve their future business. Alexandra’s specialty lies in interactive workshops and inspiring keynotes as well as in the execution of innovation management projects.

As an enthusiastic and lateral thinker, Alexandra’s interests lie in cross-industry-innovations, namely the transferring of industry-specific trends and developments into further economic sectors.
Before working for TRENDONE, Alexandra successfully concluded more than seven years in the field of executive education. During this time, she composed management training courses and established a broad network of various decision makers in different industries.

Alexandra is currently on maternity leave.

Claudia Ippen

Head of Operational Sales

Claudia Ippen is fascinated by the transformation of overriding developments and trends into real innovation ideas. She is passionate about assisting companies on their way to making the kind of decisions that affect their entire future.

After studying Communication Science at the University of Münster – which included stints in Spain, Mexico, Berlin and Cologne – Claudia undertook a management trainee program at a large media company in Hamburg. Her focus here was on overriding projects relating to strategy and new business, in Hamburg and also in London, where she was able to consolidate her expertise in an international context. She was then deployed in the management project team at the Hamburg headquarters and worked on a variety of international strategy topics. Claudia spent an intense time answering complex questions such as, “ In future, how will it possible to succeed over the long term in a rapidly changing business sector?” Her subsequent position in the Media Solutions sector also involved innovative marketing possibilities and dealing with highly individual customer enquiries.

As our Head of Operational Sales, a close cooperation with our customers is fundamental to Claudia’s work. This is the only way to develop an ideal strategy in response to specific customer needs. Being able to see beyond the horizon and incorporating developments from other disciplines are also particularly important to her. Claudia is looking forward to working with you on all the challenges you present us with!

Jana Mielke

Senior Client Services Manager

Jana Mielke is responsible for the field of inspiration formats at TRENDONE. As Senior Client Services Manager, she coordinates all matters relating to events, workshops and presentations with you and advises you on the best type of formats for your event and also helps you to prepare a workshop agenda. She is your first contact person for all speaker enquiries and inspiration formats.
Jana has been at TRENDONE since June 2017 and brings several years of experience in event management with her. She previously worked as a project manager for internal and external event-formats for a large international accountancy firm. After completing a vocational training course in hotel management, she worked for EUROFORUM as a coordinator of events involving up to 1,000 visitors in the German-speaking countries and also participated in the company’s introduction of “Corporate Responsibility”. In addition to her work, she studied “International Management” at the FOM University of Applied Sciences in Düsseldorf.

Friederike Wedding

Senior Client Services Manager

Since June 2019 Friederike Wedding is part of the Client Services Team in Hamburg.

Friederike worked for almost 10 years for two different companies in the automotive industry. After completing her studies in Tourism and Event Management, she completed her bachelor of BA with a far distance learning of the universityof Sunderland. Following a management trainee program at an international car rental company, she spent four years managing the branches on Mallorca and then focussing her work more and more on sales. Her deep roots in Hamburg brought Friederike back to the Hanseatic city with the same employer and after one year to her key account management position for a service provider in the automotive industry. Inspired by a keynote presentation on "The future of the automotive industry", Friederike decided to immerse herself in the inspiring world of trends and innovations.

The close and personal customer loyalty and the way to systemically developed individual customer solutions are Friederike's passion and she is looking forward to a successful future together with her customers!

Kristin Dubiski

Senior Innovation Advisor

Kristin Dubiski pursues her passion for trends, innovations and forward-looking ideas from an interdisciplinary background. Before she made the topic of digital innovation one of her specialist subjects, she studied Fashion Design in Berlin, worked for various designer labels and dealt with trends and innovations from a creative and artistic perspective.

After studying Business Administration and Digital Media, Kristin worked as a project manager at a Hamburg-based digital agency and supervised several complex e-commerce projects for fashion and lifestyle customers. A key focus of her work was also consulting customers on issues regarding online marketing, SEO and web analytics.

Prior to joining TRENDONE, Kristin Dubiski worked as a consultant for digital transformation at one of the largest consultancies on the international stage. The consultancy topics she engaged with included digital business model innovation, mobile strategy, digital business operating modelling and customer experience strategy.

Both for her work and in workshops, Kristin Dubiski can call upon creative techniques as well as methods from the fields of design thinking and open innovation. She is also able to use her wealth of experience from different industries to drive business model innovations further forward.

Astrid Wasitschek

Innovation Analyst

Astrid Wasitschek supports our research team in the analysis of micro and macro trends. With a focus on consumer needs she is working on the design and creation of content for the Trendbook 2018 and is involved in internal and external projects.

Your study of the economic geography with a focus on empirical social research Astrid has finished in casting and already gained some professional experience in market research.

Thomas Haubold

Senior Innovation Advisor

Thomas Haubold is the engineer in the team and part of TrendOne since July 2016. He studied industrial engineering at the University of Bremen and has got different practical experience in innovation management and foresight due to his internship and diploma thesis in the automobile sector. At TRENDONE he is responsible for the roadmap formats and supports the team in ideation and scenario workshops as a moderator.

Thomas lastly worked at the institute of innovation and project management as lecturer and did research with the scope of the strategic use of product-service-systems in innovation management. It is his passion to transfer theory into practice and therefore he got a wide range of creative and strategic methods. He is fascinated by questions regarding the future of innovation management in general. He has content-related expertise in fields of future mobility and internet of things.

Inga Horstmann

Project Manager

Inga Horstmann supports TRENDONE since July 2015.

Previously, she has completed her apprenticeship as an event manager at an international trade fair organiser in the B2B sector. Even after the apprenticeship she continued to work for the British conglomerate and has besides still gained experience in other areas of the event sector.

In the Hamburg office Inga is integrated in the Innovation Services unit and is responsible for the keynote and event management.

David Baum

Innovation Advisor

David Baum is responsible for managing events and identifying new trend flows. Because he is very enthusiastic about innovation, he enjoys explaining the complex trend universe a lot.

During a three-month internship David supported TRENDONEs Innovation Services and collected many precious experiences. Since July 2017 he is an inherent member of the TRENDONE team.

David studied economics at the CAU in Kiel, focused on technology and innovation management as well as marketing. In his thesis he investigated anomalies in (un)ethical consumers group behavior.

Isabella Syska

Innovation Advisor

Isabella Syska started with a three-month internship at TRENDONE in mid 2015. This has intensified her passion for trend research and innovation and she continued to contribute as a freelance Trendscout and Trendwriter. In the meantime, she has completed her Master´s degree in International Management in Toulouse, France.

Since August 2017 she is an integral part of the Innovation Services team in Hamburg and works as a Innovation Advisor on workshops, studies and strategy projects.

In her undergraduate studies, she has completed a Bachelor´s degree in Business Administration with a focus on Marketing and International Business in Giessen, Germany, and Edinburgh, UK.
Driven by curiosity for cultures and lifestyles, she gained practical experience in different European countries such as Germany, Great Britain and France while working for various industries in the fields of Marketing, Business Development and Strategy.

Svea Möller

Junior Innovation Advisor

Svea Möller joined TRENDONE's Consulting team as a Junior Innovation Advisor in 2018, after completing her master studies in Business Innovation at the GBSB in Barcelona. In her thesis she explored the "Impact of Social Innovations combatting Food Waste".

Previously, she studied Art & Visual History and Business Administration in her bachelor's program at Humboldt University in Berlin. Due to her specific educational background, she usually encounters trends from a cultural perspective and is mainly interested in sustainable innovation efforts.

Marcel Buchholz

Client Services Manager

During his studies, Marcel Buchholz worked for leading engineering companies in both sales and customer service and was able to gain relevant experience. He completed his bachelor's degree in business informatics and then his master's degree in business administration with a focus on marketing and sales. At the time of his master's degree, Marcel gained his first international experience by studying abroad in Indonesia.

Since July 2018 Marcel has been a permanent member of the TRENDONE team in Hamburg as Client Services Manager. He works in customer management and the support of new customers in the Innovation Services unit of TRENDONE.

Catharina Hoyer

Junior Innovation Advisor

Catharina joined TRENDONE in February 2019 as an Junior Innovation Advisor to support the consulting team. Her focus is on future studies, workshops and keynotes in the field of HealthTech and lifestyle/sports. With a cross-industry approach she helps companies to identify relevant trends, analyse them and translate them into concrete innovation projects.

Before joining TRENDONE, Catharina worked as a inhouse consultant for one of the most successful American health care companies. She holds a bachelor's degree and an international diploma in Industrial Management with a focus on HealthTech from the TU Dresden and the ISCTE Business School in Lisbon. She wrote one part of her diploma thesis at the Innovation Lab of the University of Illinois at Chicago. The final concept of her thesis was presented at the conference of the Journal of Product Innovation Management.

After her studies, Catharina completed a certificate in sports psychology. In addition to her work at TRENDONE, Catharina either trains for the next marathon or teaches maths and chemistry in a refugee home in Hamburg.

Tabea Bleckert

Junior Project Manager

Tabea Bleckert studied business management with a focus on tourism, hotel and event management at the Mittweida University. During her studies she worked in an event company where she deepened her experience in event organisation.

Since the beginning of 2019 Tabea is a part of the Innovation Service team of TRENDONE in Hamburg. As a Junior Project Manager she works in the field of keynote and event management.

Anna Tollmien

Innovation Manager

Anna Tollmien is an expert in strategic innovation management. As a freelancer for TRENDONE she often comes in for complex solutions and projects. Anna is responsible for the successful Picture of the Future, a workshop that combines the scenario method with trend research. She also designes large custom projects that deal with the transfer of the future knowledge to the individual issues of the company, and brings them to success.

Anna is focused on content monitoring in early stages of the innovation process, the trend transfer and on the ability of companies to carry out their operations independently. Pragmatically she supports companies in the development of results and their implementation, as well as through the facilitation of workshops on top management level.

Peter von Aspern

Director Trend Services

Peter von Aspern studied Economics at the University of Hamburg. While writing his diploma thesis on “Mobile data services”, Peter began to familiarize himself with some of the exciting aspects of future-based innovations. Peter worked for four years as a market analyst, focusing on mobile commerce, online trade and retail.

At TRENDONE, Peter von Aspern coordinates the production of the monthly Trend Report and is responsible for the creation and development of Trend Services.

Isabel Schomburg

Head of Business Development · Trend Services

Isabel Doreen Schomburg joined our client services team in Hamburg in April 2014. She gives information in all kinds of Trend reports and the Trendexplorer and consults regarding prices and product features.

She graduated from the Bachelor program Media and Communication Management, and has already gained practical experience in international account management as well as in PR. Isabel also worked in direct sales and in retail.

Isabel is currently on maternity leave.

Sandro Megerle

Senior Innovation Analyst

Sandro Megerle studied Culture and Business Studies at the University of Bremen. His area of responsibility at TRENDONE includes the screening and evaluation of trend suggestions sent in by our 80 internationally active trend scouts. Sandro runs the trend workshops that are regularly held here. Thanks to his extensive experience in this sector, he possesses a wide-ranging and profound understanding of trends in the fields of Technology, Media and Marketing.

He also takes great interest in all the micro-trends relating to e-commerce, which he processes for our quarterly Multi-Channel-Commerce Trend Report

Felix Tegeler

Senior Innovation Analyst

Felix Tegeler studied "Computer science" at the Otto-von-Guericke-University Magdeburg. His thesis deals with the detection of micro-trend-diffusion in modern networks of the World Wide Web.

He manages the trend intelligence in Berlin and reads between the lines of our comprehensive database of over 25,000 micro-trends. For our customers, thus he gains additional insight into the change in the world.

Felix´s main areas of interests are mobile devices and big data.

Sarah Behrens

Senior Product Manager

Sarah Behrens has been an integral part of TRENDONE since September 2015. As Senior Product Manager Sarah is responsible for the further development of the online tools Trendexplorer and Trendmanager. In 2018 Sarah was responsible for the product launch of the trend manager in an agile development process from the product concept, analysis of requirements and definition of the MVP to product marketing.

Sarah holds a Master's degree in Media Management with a focus on Innovation Management from the Bauhaus University Weimar. Before joining TRENDONE, Sarah worked in qualitative market research and marketing.

Tobias Munsch

Senior Client Services Manager

Since June 2019 Tobias Munsch supports our Hamburg team in the innovation tools and is as Client Service Manager one of your contact persons around the product Trendmanager, as well as demand-oriented solutions in combination with all other products & services of the TRENDONE portfolio.

Tobias successfully completed his training as an IT Systems Management Assistant at a renowned telecommunications company in 2012. During and after this time he gained extensive experience within the group in the support of private and business customers. In his last position Tobias was responsible for the development and partner support of two manufacturers in the B2B area of information security for a well-known English distribution.

Lara Marie Brückner

Client Services Manager

Lara Marie Brückner is an integral part of the Trend Services team since August 2017. She is working in the customer relationship management and gives information on all kinds of Trend reports and the Trendexplorer.

Before joing TRENDONE, she completed the vocational training as an assistant of marketing communications and studying business administration at the West Coast University of Applied Sciences. Parallel to her studies she gained more experiences in marketing and worked among others for an international shipyard group.

Tiemo Breiing

Junior Client Services Manager

Tiemo Breiing has been part of the Client Services team in Hamburg since February 2019. As a contact for existing and new customers for the products Trendreports, Trendexplorer and Trendmanager he is at your disposal.

Tiemo completed his master's degree in business administration at the University of Applied Sciences in Wedel. During his studies, he already realised his own projects, which he then successfully continued as a part-time employee. These projects were forecasts about the stock and prices of Classic Cars in Germany. After his studies he worked in the waste disposal and recycling industry until he finally joined TRENDONE.

Ricarda Klockmann

Junior Product Manager

Ricarda Klockmann has been an integral part of TRENDONE since May 2019. She supports TRENDONE in product management in the Hamburg office. As Junior Product Manager she is jointly responsible for the further development of the online tools Trendexplorer and Trendmanager.

Ricarda has a master’s degree in business administration at the Technical University of Lübeck and has since gained years of valuable experience in product management in the start-up scene, both in B2C and B2B.

Andreas Albert

Trend Analyst

Andreas Albert studied history at the University of Hamburg. Meanwhile he worked for the "taz hamburg" and helped to develop the online presence of the "Hamburger Morgenpost" since 1997. As a convinced online editor he went to the "Financial Times Deutschland" in 2000. After its closing down, he worked for the news agency dpa, among others. In 2016 he moved to "Spiegel Online".

His interest in future topics led Andreas to TRENDONE at the end of 2018. Here he brings in his experience in trend editing. His main topics are technological developments and innovations.

Johanna Blees

Junior Trend Analyst

Johanna joined TRENDONE in early 2019 as Trend Editor. Her day-to-day work revolves almost entirely around TRENDONE’s Micro-Trends; these she helps identify, analyse and edit for the Trendexplorer. She also supports the Marketing team by means of research and copywriting.

She studied Comparative Literature and Anthropology in Berlin and first discovered the process of Design Thinking at the Hasso-Plattner-Institute in Potsdam. Following this, Johanna worked in various Hamburg agencies and was trained in copy and concept at the Hamburg School of Ideas.

Due to her background in the humanities and social sciences, Johanna is particularly interested in the human element of trend research. Her primary interest in any new technology, product or service, is how people use it—and whether humanity could better itself through it.

Robert Smale

Junior Art Director

Rob Smale studied in Bournemouth, England, completing both a foundation degree and Bachelors degree in Illustration, but found his place in Graphic Design. Since joining us in 2014 as our inhouse graphic designer, he has now taken on the role as Junior Art Director. His love for all things design, ranging across the board of brand identity, from paper to screen, means he is involved on a very practical level; from prototyping TRENDONE’s innovation tools to designing client reports and composing Trendbooks – Rob is always focusing on TRENDONE’s brand image. His passion for the TRENDONE vision keeps him searching not just for the latest design trends, but their lasting impact.

Claudia Knacke

Senior Marketing Manager

Claudia Knacke studied "International Studies of Global Management" at the Bremen University of Applied Sciences and has been a member of the TRENDONE team since end of 2009. As Senior Online Manager Claudia organises and performs many projects for us. Besides her editorial work, her eye for details is ideal for working on PR activities.

In addition, she is responsible for corporate identity aspects and the TRENDONE website. Website tracking, search enginge optimization as well as content management are in her field of responsibility.

Claudia is currently on maternity leave.

Jan-Sebastian Möller

Digital Marketing Manager

Jan-Sebastian Möller is part of the team at the Hamburg office since January 2019. He is responsible for the support and further development of TRENDONE's own marketing channels. He is also the contact person for all press and PR enquiries.

Jan graduated with a Master's degree in Media Studies at the Ruhr-University Bochum. For his studies he focused on the cultural history and aesthetics of digital media. Before his time at TRENDONE he sharpened his skills in digital brand communication in a Hamburg agency for online marketing.

Alicia Gavilán-Jimenez

Office Manager & Personal Assistant

Alicia has been an integral part of TRENDONE at the Hamburg location since December 2018. Being Office Manager Alicia is the "good fairy" of the team, she creates solutions before problems arise and is the first point of contact for all questions in everyday office life. As Personal Assistant for the CEO she is responsible for all administrative and organisational matters. This includes time and travel management and the organisation of meetings.

After completing her training as a sports and fitness merchandiser, Alicia gained a great deal of professional experience in a wide variety of industries. Since 2017 she has specialised in the area of Office Management & Assistance and sees her professional future here and is looking forward to the upcoming tasks at TRENDONE.

Sara Almeida

Team Assistant

Sara has enhanced the team since the end of 2016 and works as a team assistant at the Hamburg office.

After studying German and English at the University of Minho in Portugal, Sara gained extensive international experience working as an office assistant and in project management. In her position of team assistant, Sara supports the team in administrative matters as well as in planning and organising all staff trips.

She believes that robots can help us in our everyday working lives, but cannot completely replace us. Sara greatly appreciates having personal contact to our customers and greets them with her charming accent.

Nicole Skwiercz

Talent Manager

After her Bachelor degree in Business Administration at the University of Hamburg Nicole has absolved an internship at TRENDONE and has become a constant member of the team.

As Talent Manager she is primarily coordinating our trend scouting network and process and assists our trendscouts in any case. She is also responsible for the application process for interns and deals with all concerns of our newest team members.

Rene Massatti

Brand Ambassador

René Massatti lives and works in Vienna and Hamburg. He has been interested in the future of marketing and the use of trends in communications for years. René has won several international awards (Gold Effie, PR Austrian State Prize, Effie CEEMAX).

His geographical area of ​​application is very international with focus on Central and Eastern Europe. His main topics are presentations and workshops like the Radical Games, Keynotes and Trend Sessions. René is also a lecturer at the Vienna University of Economics and at the University of Business Administration in Zurich.
